i gotta say icon makes a very good product and am very happy with the way the jacket held up and the my shark helmet "UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE" and my spidi race vent gloves...not a scratch on them.

estimated speed of impact was about 40-45mph...speed limit was 40

Glad you're alright Curb...at least you'll be getting a new bike out of it.

After my wreck at Homestead, Shark has my vote too. They make awesome helmets!

Side note...we had three different incidents last night where we almost got hit, and we were in the truck! If these idiots around here can't see the truck, they definitely can't see a bike. So glad to be getting out of here.

Sad part is he will prolly feel worse today

I have a shark lid too, I dont care for it too much in that it has less perephrial vision than my old arai and shoeis. It is a quality lid otherwise, and I will prolly make it my track lid since I dont need to be looking behind me on the track. Def good to know they hold up well in crashes though.

its not so bad...its been about 13 hours since the crash and being hopped up on pain meds helps a lot. we'll see how the day goes.

You're right about that! The peripheral is definitely less than my Arai. I can manage though.

Glad you walked away!! We know a few who weren't so lucky... Take lots of hot baths to relax the muscles and speed the healing. Bend the broad over in court and make an example of her as to how cages don't pay enough attention to bikes out there. Our personal motto is "all gear, all the time"...call us gear nazis, we'll roll with it.

Heal soon! You can replace the bike, but you can't replace you.
