Great.

He'll be searching for a car forum, and we'll never see him again.

With apologies to Amorok for singling his post out, it looks like the EMBEDDED ads have started.

Just another in the long list of things that mods won't see, but the average user will have to navigate through.

I think that might be what Stew posted that registered users have the option to turn off? I think the option to turn them ON should be there 'cause I don't want to have to mess with anything else. Call me lazy.

Also, I thought it kind of funny that Stew locked Moira's "Ask the customer" thread yesterday. No flaming going on, just a couple of more posts, but apparently he didn't like them. What a control freak.

I had a new thread started up on just that issue... which forum rules were broken? I decided to send it as a PM instead, but haven't heard back yet.

And the hyperlink ads are pretty easy to turn off. Good thing, those things were making it difficult to read with the Emerge color scheme.

Yup, the option is there in the user setting to turn it off. It's an example of where the "user experience" is going though.

He locked it after I posted my opinion and told someone to do the research and come up with his own conclusion. The specific question was what I meant about degradation in the user experience. My answer was:

Quote:
I think that can only be explained to someone who has been under VS moderation, which means it wouldn't need explanation at all. Go to Verticalscope's web site. Check out the forums that they have under their control. Do web searches on the terms "motorcycle.com" and "verticalscope". Form your own opinions from that.
... to which Stewie replied:

Quote:
haha, ya form your "own opinions" after reading about it...

Or how about form your own opinion from seeing it first hand. Seeing that people in this day and age only focus on the negative side of things. How often in this day do you hear about the kid who helped an old lady across the street. All you will hear about is how she got mugged by some degenerate when she got there.

So ya... go look it up and form your opinions form other peoples opinions.

This jibber jabber has been going on far too long.

Stew
... before locking the thread.
