I took advantage of the free DL of Portal and just finished it earlier today.
I can't believe it took me this long to get around to playing it.

Marketing plan - GREAT SUCCESS. suckered me into it. I had no intention of ever playing portal or portal 2 until the freebie promotion. |

I've been playing Portal all evening - 2 is next. I love it.

Haven't decided if I'm buying Portal 2 yet or not, but I definitely loved the first one.
Some of the puzzles were a little frustrating, particularly when you have to work out the angle & momentum necessary to fling yourself to the next platform. I can only imagine what Portal 2 is going to expect you to pull off. I'm sure GLaDOS has only gotten funnier.

Portal 1 was just a quick project just put out so that's why it's short and sweet. Portal 2 has more of a story. Some people wanted it to be like P1 but longer and some like the story being bigger than the puzzles.

Portal 2 is worth the money, hands down. I'm about 3/4 of the way thru now and I would have paid much more than the 29.99 that they are charging. Best game I've played in a long long time.
