I once ran over a cat, but didn't hit it. While cranked over in a right turn a cat ran under the bike. I saw the movement and looked down and I saw the cat run under the bike. I braced for the crash when the rear wheel went over the cat. Nothing.. sombitch made it between the front and rear wheels. Scared the shit out of me, probably him too. I figure we both used up one of our lives that afternoon.

That sounds like the squirrel I almost got the other week. I was coming home from work on a nice twisty road when a squirrel ran out. I wasn't trying to hit it but wasn't going to crash avoiding it.

It ran from the right side of the road and I left my left boot toe hit it's tail. It continued on it's way to the other side of the road.

~~~~~~~~
I've hit numerous birds ( I really like my armored gear ) and some really nasty bugs. I remember one time I had just flipped down my visor when I hit a bigass bug that splattered all over my visor.
When I was young, dumb and "squidly", I was riding in a loose fitting tank top. I was doing about 70 mph when I rear ended a wasp in my left nipple. To say that hurt would be a gross understatement.
I locked up both tires and ripped what was left of the backend of the wasp out. I had a hollow spot there for a month.
I shuddered just thinking about that
