Anyway, for her first shakedown run of the year, I'm going to polish off one of those white states in my sig that everyone likes to make fun of me for.

I'm going to head to Memphis, Tennessee for lunch March 28. Since all good rides should include local flair and food, this one shall be no different.

I'll be going to Dyer's Burgers on Beale Street. ETA will be around noon.

It is a 966 mile round trip for me. I plan on riding out, having lunch, and getting home by dinner time to post pictures.

Anybody within a 500 mile radius of Memphis is game at a minimum. C'mon, it's a day ride! I'm posting this now to give everyone plenty of advance notice on the odd chance someone should choose to join me for lunch.

Whos' up for lunch at a Memphis icon?!
A little far for me but if you're out cruising around, there's a riders' club meeting for the online mag I'm associated with on Monday night, because His Editorship is coming in from Montreal. It's at a nice Irish pub.

Bump. Two weeks out.

Anybody else ready for lunch in Memphis? I'm still going!

I'm thinkin pretty seriously about it. If I can find another local guy to ride with me, I'll do it.

Let's see if I can get a straight answer from the wifey today. She's mainly just worried of the distance solo and what-not, not the fact I'm going to be meeting up w/ you slackers.

Maybe she's covering up the "meeting with you slackers" part by using the distance as an excuse?

I don't think I'm going to tell my parents about this trip, lol. They always worry and want me to call them every time I stop for gas, and they expect that i need to fill up every 30 minutes it seems. So since I'll be in Springfield anyway, I may as well ride.
