Some do, some don't. At least for cruisers. On the BDMs it seemed like the 250mm rears need the swingarm removed, however the 300's not so.

The belt went between the frame and the swingarm but had the pivit bolt thru the belt.

All I meant was that if you are prepared you have a chance in hell of putting a chain back together on the side of a trail. Not so much with a belt.

I *thought* I was getting old, bought a cruiser, then realized I ride for the thrill of a good curve, not just to be on a bike. So I got a SS and found out it's my wrists that are getting old. Now I ride the cruiser to work, the SS for fun.

And I love Adventure bikes. I can't watch Long Way Down or Long Way Round without getting the itch.
