Default Proud Papa...(56k jump off a bridge)

Tis a joyous day here in Central Pennsylvania. This morning, at approximately 0900, I began a voyage to Northern Maryland. The mission: Pick up my new bike. A fabulous 2005 Buell XB12R Firebolt. A short hour and a half drive and I was NOT disappointed when I got there. The bike is in EXCELLENT shape. It's about as good as a used bike gets...especially for the price.

I bs'd with the former owner for several minutes...going over the bike and it's details, signed the check and he handed over the title. IT IS MINE!

Secured to the back of my cousin's Avalanche, we (Marko, my wife, and my new baby) and headed home. I rode it about 10 miles from my cousin's shop to my house.

BEST 10 MILES I EVER RODE. What a bike. I'm in love. Couldn't stop smiling the whole ride. Carved up an exit ramp but kept it largely tame. The sound of this machine is UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE! I love the Vtwin rumble. At idle this thing will shake your gut loose. At hiway speeds...your teeth begin to fall out...and I wouldn't want it any other way. It's loud, it's obnoxious, and it's black. Does it get any better? No. The answer is NO.

Now...I haven't gotten into any twisties yet...that'll happen on Tuesday when I have a day off...but I can say this with absolute certainty: If anyone ever tries to get me to ride anything other than a Vtwin again I will fight you.

I WILL FIGHT YOU.

Now the pay off...pics:

Locked and loaded, ready for the trip to PA:

The name says it all:

Home, safe and sound:

Proud Papa:

Also...this bike has brand new Corsa III's on it....less than 50 miles on them. A brand new steering damper. It's just a killer machine. Any gear, any RPM...open the throttle and it GOES! No waiting for the engine to get to 7,000RPM. Peace out Suzuki.

It's in phenominal shape. It fell over once. Scratches are almost impossible to see.
