A woman died as a result of injuries sustained from the collision.

The estate wants to sue those responsible as recourse. The estate has sued the child and the parents.

Precedent establishes that those under 4 years can chainsaw your leg off and get off scott free.

The kid in question is over the age of four.

What would you prefer they (the estate) do?

The estate needs to sue the maker of the bicycle. The company knows that bicycles, even those with training wheels, are inherently dangerous. Bicycle companies support racing, such as the Tour de France, and even four year olds are bombarded with commercials showing racers, hence, making those four year olds want to emulate the people they see on TV. I bet the bicycle even had Dora on it. Doesn't Dora participate in a race on one of her cartoons? Nikelodeon should also be sued for showing racing to young children, enticing them to race their bicycles. And since all of that is on TV, cable and satellite providers should be sued for allowing that stuff to air. As a matter of fact, the makers of TVs should be sued, because if it weren't for TV, a kid would have never entered into a bike race. But then again, if that kid was never born, she never would have hit the old lady, so lets sue the maker of the mattress that the parents owned. Or maybe we should just sue God, for putting people on the planet in the first place.

The women had osteoporosis otherwise her hip wouldn't have fractured...and everyone knows that 80 plus year olds that go in for hip surgery usually die on the table or shortly thereafter.

This was a mercy killing by God. lol

Suck it the fuck up. Bitch was almost ninety for christsakes, that's more than most of us will get. It pure petty greed to try and destroy a childs life over a stupid accident.

Are you saying that the time when you die should be determined by someone else?

Sue the mother and you have to sue the child too, I would say, as the principal in the incident. Sounds to me like someone was being negligent and it's the mother, but the child likely has to be party to the suit in order for it to go forward. The costs incurred as a result of this incident were likely pretty heavy. Why should the estate be on the hook, for something that someone else caused?

it's the estate that is sueing the 4 year old, ie: the kids of the 87 yr old. I never met kids of a dead relative who weren't willing to go to any length to get more free money.

want to see the worst side of someone, let a person die with money and watch the claws come out as everyone thinks they "have earned" the inheritance.

Are some of you saying that old people are expendable?
