Default 400's!!

So, I've been on a 400 kick lately, gsxr 400, fzr 400, cbr 400, and I think Honda made a nc30? That was a v4 400. I want one of these little fuckers!!! Why are they sooooo hard to find!?!?!

Actually the FZR400 was brought to America for '89 and '90. I had the black '90 and it was an amazingly fun bike. I wish I had it today!

I'd be willing to bet we'll start seeing them if the 300 Ninja takes off...

I did just see an ad for a Bandit 400 recently... looked pretty fun.

I was under the impression they were imported here, just in small numbers. Guess that explains that. Even tho dimensionaly they are near identical, The ninja 300 lacks the character the gsxr400 or of the Honda, and it's a twin. I did find a 90 fzr 400, but it was a track bike.

Mike-since u see them all the time, what are the prices like over there?

The Kawi 400's and the Honda NC30/35's usually run around $3500, give or take a thousand. Friend of mine just sold a '89 TZR250 for a grand. I've seen a NSR250 for sale for about 4k, but I bought the 929 instead.

Honda's line-up for next year has a pair of 500's in it...

Honda and Kawasaki are moving in the right direction for sporty, cheaper, street useable motorcycles... Might bring a whole new wave of motorcyclists to the road.
