Ahhh a fellow Jalopnik fan! I love that site. As for the Coug...I would have built on a diff chassis. The Ford 4.6 isn't on my list of approved and endorsed powerplants...

The owner prolly gets quite a few thumbs up from the non aficionado. I think it looks great for a home built replica!

The replica looks real sweet, but Im not a fan of a lot of fake badging on cars. Its like when mustang owners with a v6 or gt put cobra badges on their cars. If you wanna do things like use the cobra brakes and shit thats fine since its strictly for performance, but dont pretend you have something you dont.

But he wants 50k for the replica. I think I'd rather risk that 50k at a chance of doubling it, then buy the real thing. Or just buy myself a nice bike and pocket 40k.

If you saw it rolling down street, even if you've never seen an R8 before, I can't imagine that you'd be fooled. Although great work, I ask why. The guy obviously has immense talent so props to him for diong it, but I won't be buying it.
