I've definitely had the fever rising at night thing happen with my oldest... I had to take her to the ER in the middle of the night for it. Even tepid baths and alternating acetaminophen/ibuprofen weren't bringing her temp down. I think by the time they took her temp in the ER, it was borderline 104.
