Default Pre-riding rituals or riding related superstitions?

What are your pre-riding rituals? (if any)

Do you have any riding related superstitions?

Other superstitions?

Before every Sunday ride, I MUST have powdered donuts. If I dont have them, I just know the world as I know it will cease to exist...

I usually make sure my rear footpegs are up unless someone is riding 2up, not really important, it just always bothered me.

Drive my car halfway across town. That is only because I don't have a garage and leave my bike over at a friends house.

Not a superstition but I always wear a back pack when Im on the bike. Even if im not carrying anything or planning on carrying anything I feel more secure when its on.

Speaking as someone who has thrown a leg over his bike and nailed himself - mid shin - on a folded down passenger peg, I will say that this is one is based on sound thinking rather than superstition.

I'm pretty anal retentive about things and OCD but I have none. The closest I get is putting my right glove on first but that's not a show-stopper to riding it's just a habit I guess much like putting my right pant leg on first when getting dressed.

Well, I always put my gloves on after the bike is running and im sitting on it. But this is just because more times than I can count, I'd put on my gloves and realize my key was in my pocket.
