Default WTF? how did THIS happen?

this was a shift fork for my CR80 at one point. obviously this is one of those WHAT THE FUCK? things. I know what its supposed to look like, and it sure the hell isnt how it DOES look. the rest of the transmssion looks like hell too, so I'm just rebuilding my gearbox along with the whole motor pretty much, cause theres a lot of play in the crank bearings, the trans looks like the kid before me didnt know how to use a clutch at all, and well, yeah. rough as shit.

Spray some Windex on it.
It'll be good as new.

Well you are dealing with an old dirt bike. It will require much maintenance but at least it is all fairly easy. Go here for all your parts. http://www.partspitstop.com/pages/pa...d/default.aspx

1, 2, and 3 are your left right and center shift forks.

well I know exactly what it is, I simply want to know how it happened. my whole transmission is toast from the previous owner probably not knowing how to shift with the clutch, or how to shift at all.

My guess would be trying to push start it and jamming into gear without the clutch.
