I keep track of every expense on my bikes, not just modifications. but I'm like that. plus its nice to have a log of what I've spent over time on the bike, and have it for if I sell it to give an idea what I've done.

2008 Buell 1125R MSRP $11,999 paid $11,500

Mods

Pazzo shorty levers, blue paid $149 shipped.
Drummer exhaust paid $998 shipped.

So $1147 in mods.

Wear items.

1 corsa III rear tire $178
1 set Pilot powers $258 + $30 M&B
9 quarts Screaming Eagle oil $63
3 oil filters $15 (estimate, I don't remember)
1 600 mile service $183

So another $727 in maint. costs

Lic $50
Ins $564

Total cost of ownership (less fuel and traffic awards) to date. $13988

Which comes out to $1.61 a mile for what I have on it.

Same here. I keep reciepts for all work pertaining to the bike, less fuel receipts. I should add them up.

I believe I could renovate my home for what you've spent on a motorcycle.
True. And I did and did. Then traded the bike in.

Shit, I've been waiting for that all freakin' summer.

If you get it, send some this way.

If you go with handlebars rather than just higher clip-ons, you will need longer cables, however. Preferably, you will buy mine.
How much you want for 'em?

Each one of our vehicles has a spreadsheet with $$$, dates, miles, etc. Mark and I even each have a gear spreadsheet attached to our respective bike's sheet.

Just to add to my list of mods: a complete fork rebuild/respring (x2) and a new front brake master cylinder and braided lines.
