Like hell.....You're lucky we didn't nuke Toronto for that little stunt....siccing fucking Celione Dion on us.

Worlds longest undefended border and all of that. You can bet that the northern border would be overflown 24/7 with Global Hawks and Predators had we known what you had in store for us with that bitch.

We should put Celine Dion and Michael Moore in Michigan, then build a giant fucking dome over it so nothing can come in or out. Not even air.

Wait, is he somehow suggesting that Americans are trying to seek asylum in Canada to avoid going to war in Iraq/Afghanistan? I don't get it...

Probably soldiers that come back mid tour and run to Canada in order to not go back. People don't volunteer and just run away before than get sent to the sand box.

Oh, ok gotcha.

Anyway, Canada is definitely under the U.S. thumb for this kind of stuff now. Just look at Emery.

Or they find out they didn't get the job the recruiter told them of fueling helicopters in Hawaii and are now infantry.

I can sympathize with a draft dodger to some degree. Not some volunteer fuck who is suprised that he might have to go to war after joining the all volunteer Army. I mean WTF were you thinking when you joined the Army? And if you wanted to be in the military but not be a door knocker then why didn't you join the Air Force or Navy?

Wouldn't 100years ago, doing an action like that get you lined up in front of a firing squad?

Law still dictates execution for desertion. Pesky politics gets in the way though, damn shame

No, he is stating that as fact. What he is bitching about is Canada sending them back to the US for prosecution. There were plenty of Americans who went over the border in to Canada to avoid military service during the Vietnam era. Canada allowed them to stay to avoid prosecution.

Moore is bent that Canada isn't granting the same privilege to those trying to do the same thing today. What he ignores is Canada has apparently decided to differentiate between those subjected to compulsory service (draft during Vietnam) and those who gladly volunteered to serve when they thought it meant three hots, a cot, money, programs for college, and learning a trade but changed their minds once the possibility of people shooting at them was factored in (all volunteer during Iraq/Afghanistan).

You would nuke Toronto, Ontario because of a girl from Charlemagne, Quebec?! At least nuke Montreal.
