This is the first picture of Colin Edwards’ helmet design for the 2011 Indianapolis Grand Prix. Featuring the Special Warfare insignia of the US Navy SEALs and the stars and stripes, it pays tribute to the 22 special forces soldiers who were killed on August 6 when their helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan. Most of those soldiers were members of the elite SEAL Team 6, which was responsible for killing Osama bin Laden. Edwards is a long time supporter of the US Military, but wearing a helmet such as this in a very international competition, even one that takes place in America, is bound to prove controversial.

I think I'll be getting a flat black helmet next.

not to mention bug guts.

they also absorb more heat than glossy helmets

i like the paint jobs on the "rider" helmets, doesn't matter who they are. now if you ride around on a repsol bike and wear a repsol lid and jacket, thats a bit much.

and we all know 'busa/gsxr gear sells.

i really do like the uniqness of the Rossi lids, there's a shop closing out the rossi chicken helmet for $300, normally $750+, i was considering it.

but i just can't pull the trigger on a flying chicken. lol

Helmet companies do a shitty job of offering decent generic paint jobs. It's sad the only way to get a decent paint is custom or buying a rider replica.
