Yep, that's what it is... I don't care about pets at all. I don't honestly think that people should take better fucking care of their animals so they don't get hit by cars and left to suffer on the side of the road. Nope, it's all about making you look like a dick. The only reason I "called you out" at all was your assumption that the driver was an asshole that probably did it on purpose. I have literally shot people and felt less remorse than when I hit a cat with my bike. I cried like a fucking baby when I found a dog suffering in the road. If you would have merely posted that the cat was dead, I would have gladly jumped on the pity bandwagon and done the cliche' "sorry about your loss" post.

cats are nomadic animals. you leave them outside and they are going to roam about, thus increasing the chance of harm/death exponentially. this loss is a sad one, but let's be honest, it was also a preventable one. tigger makes a valid point.

Preventable yes, but can we have a little compassion here for the loss?

Sheesh.

Sorry dude, hopefully the karma gods will pinch the asshole that hit the cat and didnt stop.

I am sorry for your loss. Kerry lost his favorite cat years ago in the same situation. All of my cats are indoors only. They get access to the deck to sun bath but no roaming the neighborhood. I watch a tiny kitten get hit last year and ran to help it but it was on his way out and there was nothing I could do but walk away. Very sad.

Real question.

Has anyone actually had a cat on a leash? Can you train them to walk on a leash?

I've had a cat on a leash. It walked. Backwards. Than it sank to the ground and refused to do anything but lay there.

Our iguana walked with a leash, why not a cat?

I honestly believe that any animal can be taught to do any thing with the right training.

Because you Iguana doesn't have a mind of its own. Hell, it doesn't even have heat of its own...
