Maybe the guy wanted to get off the plane shortly after the call was made? That makes the most sense.

I don't understand how he stepped off of that plane alive.

Also, Full Metal Jacket was an awesome movie.

It won't happen.

Heard a story on the radio today that 1 day ago in 2002 after the 9/11 attacks a guy forgot his camera in his car and ran to his car to get it. He then realized that he would miss his flight so he ran backwards on the escalator where people are getting off. Police chased him and couldn't find them so they evacuated the entire airport into the parking lot and searched everything. They sent out empty planes because they had other scheduled landings.

They found the guy and arrested him to only fine him $3000. Fucker caused millions of dollars in delays and such and he only has to pay $3000. By the way it was over a UGA football game that he didn't want to miss.

They shoudl DB Cooper people like that.

DB Cooper is one of my all time favorite bad asses but lets not forget if he survived (and I like to think he did) then he made a ton of money.

They probably could have kicked the living shit out of him and thrown him out on the tarmac everyone on the plane probably would have pulled a 'I must have been looking the other way and missed it'. That's what should have happened.

There's so much hostility for the people doing these things... personally, I'd be more pissed at the airlines and "Homeland Security". Srsly, a cell phone? Just fly the fucking plane.

I realized on my last flight that I'd left my phone in my carry-on bag and forgotten to turn it off. And yet, the plane somehow managed to not fall from the sky!

Because if anyone were to grab the idiot's phone and turn it off they would be sued for any number of reasons and the really sad part is he would probably win the suit.

The airline company should send him their gate fee since every airline is charged by how long they stay at the gate.
