Right now, there's a lost tribe of pygmies in the back yard, and I think I've spotted a small herd of Elephant in the densest regions of the front yard, over the septic tank.
Sadly, my relationship with my lawn cannot even be described as love/hate. It's just pure hate. AMJ, I feel your pain.

My dad owns a lawn spraying business, so obviously it looks pristine. We typically mow every 4 days. Different directions every time. I really don't mind mowing since we have a riding mower and I just rock out to the ipod.

I bought a riding mower a couple months ago because it was such a pain in the ass to mow my lawn. The lawn is very lumpy and it would take me about an hour to push mow it. I hated every minute of it. But, after getting the riding mower, it's not a problem anymore. However, I do NOT water my lawn and have no intention of ever doing so.

I gave up on mowing an acre and a half with a push mower.

It's under 2 acres and I don't have a ton of storage space so that mower worked the best. I can store it behind the bike when the snowmobile comes out for the winter and still get both cars into the garage

Crap this reminds me that I need to mow the lawn before we go out of town tomorrow. I can't do it tonight because I need to install a new computer (PCM) in my dad's PT Cruiser that took a dump and by the time I drive down to where he lives and do that and then drive home it will be too late. Oh well it'll be cooler in the morning to do it anyways.
I mow/edge/weedwhack once a week...not a big lawn to mow. $800 + water bill ? |

It takes me about 1hr to trim/mow(bag)/blow my yard for front & back. Maybe another 15 mins to include spot spraying weeds in backyard and picking up dog poop

We just moved in to our place last weekend and the yard scares me. I've never watered a plant in my life. Ever. Now, I have a jungle of green crap everywhere and I am supposed to make sure it doesn't die or my new neighbor Larry will be very upset with me. Apparently he planted all that shit 3 years ago. I think I'll let him take care of it then.
