Rode a ways out, stopped for lunch, and then half of us split off and came home rather than heading farther south into the forest. Still managed some 220 miles today, but DAYUM I'm still cold!!
It was 62 here, but I still wore long johns under my leather pants. Hippo hands for warm hands and the win. Coming down Lookout Mountain, I passed a red, or should I say, scarlet 2004 R1 going up. We passed on a blind corner, but in that tenth of a second I recognized the bike and rider. No other bike like it. We both nodded as we've passed each other before. Only bad thing is he doesn't wear a helmet. And he's very fast. I tried to catch up to him going uphill once, but couldn't.

I decided that unless there is snow on the ground at thanksgiving, I am riding my bike the 3 hours back home and back to here. Fuck the cold, I'll bundle up with under armour cold gear at the bottom.

Awesome. Should be a blast.

Since it's snowing here AND my bike it totaled, the only thing I WANT to ride is the hot little number that sits 1 row over from me. Only problem is..... I'm married so I cant.

What part of San Jose are you in? I grew up right by Los Gatos.
I'm right at 101 and 680. Pretty much on Capitol Expressway. I've been all through Los Gatos, and worked at the Los Gatos Hotel doing valet for a little bit.

The Superbike School was incredible. #1 was Laguna Seca. Couldn't have been a better day. A little chilly in the morning, but warmed up nicely. Not a cloud in the sky. The track was excellent. So smooth. I started out pretty slow, just learning the bike and the track. By the end of the last track session, I was going so much faster, but not working harder. They definitely lay it out to you in the simplest terms, and you get on track instruction, and debriefing after each run. Highly recommend it. WHOOOOOO!!!!!!
