Yeah mine are cluster headaches as well. Excedrin Migraine gets rid of them but I cant take them anymore because they are killing my stomach. I'm now taking Amytriptyline to prevent them before they even start. Seems to work, I get them a lot less frequently.

I use to take that. Now I take Topamax daily and Maxalt when I get headaches but sometimes I get into a cycle where it does not help. Luckily I and back among the living today.

Are there "triggers" for your migraines?

My daughter had an extensive battery of tests conducted....brain scans....allergy tests....everything...trying to find some kind of "cause - effect" relationship for her migraines....nothing. They seem to strike out of the blue....no "trigger" that we are aware of.

it's a moving target. Root Beer was at one time but not anymore... then there were certain types of perfume (whenever I went to wal-mart and one of the local holsteins would take a fucking BATH in the stuff and it was instant aura followed by a nasty headache) - that one hasn't gone away.

Other than that, I'm thinking just breathing causes them sometimes.

Come on...enough is enough Particle Man.

If you do not want to have sex with the forum then just say "I'm not in the mood to screw all the forum members"

This migraine nonsense is so cliche.

I have not been able to associate any triggers that always cause a headache. Perfume does bother me, the change in whether seems to set me off, and chocolate feels like a death sentence if I already have a headache. I can eat chocolate without problem if I am not already in pain but something is different once I am.

This is a pamphlet that my doctor put out that describes some triggers. Hopefully your daughter’s headaches are hormonal related and they will settle down once she does. I feel her pain. I missed out on a lot of teenage stuff.

Glad you are starting to feel better Particle!
