BLING
![]() ![]() BLANG ![]() ![]() ![]() Chopper setup... ![]() ![]() Tight fit ![]() ![]() The chop (pre-Phoenix project) ![]() Also mounted a nice vice on the lift... very usefull. Puts me at about $1600 into the lift. But damn it works so well!!!! here we go again... this time my neighbor, aka Sgt, with his and mine limited amount of compatitable free time... my neighbors 04 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 spent about 5 days on the lift.... I don't mind and I don't charge. I figure if the owner works on it with me its no charge. You want to drop off and pick up when done... I need at least food and drink. Anyway... here we go... ![]() ![]() Bust out the new V&H 2:1 pipes ![]() ![]() ![]() The old stock system ![]() ![]() Bolt that up. Start it up to check it out http://s99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Lift%20Wrenching/Sean/?action=view¤t=Sean011.flv then bolt up some new floor boards instead of the pegs ![]() ![]() Cleaned her up a bit ![]() Last edited by Gas Man; 09-23-2008 at 11:29 PM.. |

Installed a K&N air filter and then went on to install a jet kit
Pull the throttle cables ![]() Pull the choke cables ![]() pull the tank, some EPA and carbs ![]() ![]() ![]() Pull the vacuum springs, and slides ![]() ![]() Change out the needles ![]() Re-assemble that... Drill out the air/fuel mixture screw cap ![]() Drop the bowl ![]() Pull the floats, inspect the float vlv and change the main jet ![]() Reassemble the carbs ![]() Put them back in and start hooking everything back up ![]() Looking good... starts and runs, but carbs need to be sync'ed ![]() Then I asked him how many miles it had. Bad idea! 10K he says. Have you changed the fork or diff oil (shaft drive)?? Worse idea! he says NO. Changed the diff oil... super easy. pull the front wheel ![]() Pull the forks. ![]() ![]() Change the oil on the forks, and re-assemble the bike... YEAH! Then I could finally get to doin somin to my bike! ![]() not only is he a neighbor, he's a biker, and a vet. That's the tripple play enterance for me to help a bud. But damn it kills the postwhoring... ![]() Who or what will be next?? Not sure... But for now the Phoenix is taking up that space.... ![]() Last edited by Gas Man; 07-17-2008 at 02:14 AM.. |

Two words; Baller. Status.
Questions; How easy is it to clean off the top part when you spill oil, lube, brake fluid etc? Can you just tip it like a tow truck bed and hose it off? I see it has wheels on one end of it's base and a handle on the other, how much does it weigh? Easy to move around? I see electrical cords in a couple pics, it has a power lift mechanism? If so, can it be lifted manually if the powers out for some reason?

1. Its a glossier style black diamond plate. Really smooth so it wipes up really easy. I usually clean it off with windex and a rag.
2. It weights like 700# or about 1 harley! ![]() 3. The electric cords are just for the battery tender or my little heater (its cold here in the winter). The lift is 100% air powered. |
