So basically they are shorting the 5V reference for APP1 to the signal circuit of APP 2. If this happens a high voltage DTC will set for the APP2 and the pedal will default to 0%. This may increase in the pedal angle of sensor 1, but since sensor 2 is outside of the normal sensor voltage range, the pedal default should be 0.

So unless Toyota trusts sensor 1 even if sensor 2 is shorted to 5V (which I've never seen and highly doubt), what this guy is touting is pure bullshit.
