Lordy! Take a short ride, fill it up, and reset the bloody trip odo.
My Bandit didn't have anything but trip odo, so I got in the habit. When I got the SV, I took it out the first time, and rode it 'til the light came on. Comes on steady at 152, and you're riding on fumes by 155. Haven't pushed it beyond that, and don't care to. Running out of gas w/a fuel injected bike isn't fun. Most of the time, I just rely on the trip odo. Get close to 150, and I fill her up.

It's at about 1.5 gallons so it isn't a huge deal, but it would be nice to have that second level.

On the 1125... you have 25 miles from low fuel light staying on constant, to no go. SO it's kinda a count down. Whats fun is playing on twisties with low fuel. lean it over in a turn, light comes on, ride a bit up and down, it goes off. back and forth... Yes, I'm easily amused. |

MN lakes country... a couple hours from where I live.
And remember, I had it out in Utah in 08. Awesome roads out there, just watch out for the Mormons! |

My bike has 2 trip odos and then a fuel odo for how far you have gone since the low fuel light came on. I typically use trip 1 for total miles that day, 2 for since I filled up, then can get about 30-40 once the fuel one comes on. I typically get 45 mpg and the fuel light comes on with almost a full gallon left.

Trip 1 for fuel fill ups
Trip 2 for oil change interval Low fuel trip for if I'm not paying attention, or stretch too far between gas stops! |

It doesn't bother me so bad. I usually can remember where I filled up. If I fill up at 100miles I know that I really need to fill up at 240. Or sometimes I'll put on about 50 more miles and then fill up to reset.
