Sena SMH10 http://www.senabluetooth.com/shop/shop.php# Scala G4 http://www.cardosystems.com/us/scala...er-g4-powerset I'm torn between the two because I respect Nick's opinion about the Sena BUT the Scala has a wired mic-much better for full face. The Sena offers this for another $40 ea. The Scala also claims a one mile working range vs the Sena's 1/2 mile. Plus the Scala includes a FM radio built in. I've already ordered BT dongles for my GPS and her radar detector... It's a tough call but I have some time to think. One good thing is that Ron Ayers carries the Scala, so I might try it out and if I don't like it I can return it no problem and buy the Sena.FWIW anything similar from J&M would cost about $700 not including the $200 ea headsets that I already have!!!!!!!! ![]() I have two headsets, so we would need two of these $200 ea, http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....7EDR-RCH&PF=30 I would need one of these just to get back to having my GPS(Garmin 855T) and radar detector(Valentine 1) hooked up. Basically, this replaces my current unit $300. http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....LU-DNG01&PF=30 She should be able to use a dongle for her radar detector (Escort Passport 8500) and her phone is BT. If I rewire my radar detector(V1) back to stock, I guess that I could also use dongles for it and my GPS but I would be VERY nervous!!! One positive aspect is that both the Scala and Sena units come with 3.5mm jacks that I could plug my V1 in to for added piece of mind. Last edited by Amber Lamps; 02-27-2011 at 10:05 PM.. |
