A Real Life Member Story worth the read!!
Courtesy of that crazy "old" guy with the fancy busa!
He shared this after seeing the old Member of the Month Thread, and it is definitely worth the read. How many of US have wanted to do something just like this? How many have? Quote:

Really, really outstanding story. Makes me reminisce about some riding stories my dad used to tell.. he would have been 80 years old this year.

Awesome story! I think he meant Grand Forks ND instead of WI though.

I referenced my diary for the locations we stopped and the weather we ran into. Grand Forks, ND lies almost half-way between Duluth, MN and Minot, ND, so we certainly stopped there for a meal and gas, but didn't spend the night. According to my diary it took more than 10 hours of hard riding for this leg, including rest stops and fill ups, in which we logged over 500 miles for the day.

Great story and good idea to keep the diary. I doubt many high school juniors would have the foresight to do so and it must be cool to have that level of recollection 40 years later. It must have sucked to have to sell the Triumph though. Speaking of which, did you end up selling your busa?

Nope, I've probably decided to keep both bikes for awhile. I can't really give up the street bike for the cruiser.
