for a first timer, I wouldnt even endorse a 600 ANYTHING. my 87 despite being a little down on power, feels strong enough to EASILY put one on their ass without trying. start small or not at all if you want to learn SAFELY how to ride.

What can I say? we've spent some time in the saddle and learned a few things over the course of a few thousand miles or more and maybe a crash or two...
wisdom only comes from experience. I believe someone once said that to be old(er) and wise, you must first be young and dumb to gain that wisdom and age. |
