Default Raiders make Janikowski richest kicker in NFL history

$16M for 4 years? And $9M is guaranteed? Crazy.

Hella dumb.

Wonder how hard the average kicker practices & works out, compared to other positions?

True, I think maybe those 95 points he scored last year was the only points the Raiders scored.

Why does that matter?

If the guy puts points on the board, he is a valuable asset to the team.

A WR can work out & practice 8 days a week but if he doesn't catch the ball, how much is he worth?
