Default Toyota: No interest for 5 years

If you're gonna talk recall/bs then gtfo. Just wondering about the sale.

Is this a "great" thing?

Don't see how it could be a bad thing for consumers. Along the same subject, I got my bonus t work today and plan on putting a good chunk of it in Toyota stock.

If you're in the market for a new vehicle it's great. I wouldn't let the offer drive you to purchasing something you're not in the market for though; it's not that good.

With Toyota's long-term track record, I would be surprised of the 0% APR hurts future resale value as much as it did when GM was slashing prices and financing to purge stock.

No interest for 5 years, huh?

I've had no interest in Toyota since they killed the Supra

Most OEMs are offering ultra low APR financing. However, if your credit is decent, you are better off finding a car with good rebates to lower the principle amount of the loan.

This.

Nothing in their lineup is interesting to me.

It doesn't suck. Using a $20k loan over 5 years you would pay around an additional $5,500 over the life of the loan and have a payment over 20% higher if it was financed at 10% interest instead of 0%. Where it can hurt is when people don't negotiate as hard over the sale price of the vehicle. Treat the sale price and the financing as separate transactions and get the best deal you can for each one.
