That's the truth. I had a siren go off when I walked through a detector on a class trip at D.C. a while back. I can't remember what building we were visiting, but they almost wanted to do the whole strip search thing. Turns out it was nothing more then a CD I had in one of my pockets (I used to wear the pants with like 10 pockets all over the place). It's more of an annoyance then anything.

I tested the court house metal detector(jury duty) with my after market collar bone. IT FAILED! Not that it mattered much a friend of mine was the officer maning the screen. He told me the airport ones are stronger but I have not tested them yet. I'll get back to you in a few weeks I have to fly to MN.

Been through both of those airports with a significant amount of metal in my right arm and didn't have any fun. Most of the relatively major airports are pretty good about it.
